Throughout the year we have had the opportunity to share information about each Compassion Connection partner. As the year comes to an end, we want to shine a little light on our final Compassion Connection partner of 2016.

The Saugatuck Center for the Arts is a wonderful resource for the community to experience art for all ages. With a focus on youth, they provide many programs for kids, grades pre-k through high school. These include “arts | in” and “Growing Young Artists”.

Art Programs

Arts | in is a program for Saugatuck High School students to learn more about project based learning. As these students enter college or career, the SCA wants to make sure they are prepared for the type of work they will be faced with. Innovation is becoming a way for businesses to thrive and this program serves as a way for students to gain skills in analyzing, creating, and problem-solving to extend their learning beyond textbook definitions. Therefore, the SCA gives students the opportunity to work with real businesses to achieve hands-on learning.

For the younger generations, the SCA provides an opportunity called “Growing Young Artists”. This program provides migrant students the chance to create and perform plays, attend field trips, and learn new teamwork skills.

In addition to what the SCA does for students, they also provide shows and different art experiences for adults. Everyone should experience the gift of art and the SCA has become an awesome hub for just that!

Support the SCA

As one of our Compassion Connection partners, the SCA is eligible to receive donations from our clients until the first of 2017! If you don’t have an event coming up, consider donating monetarily to their mission. The SCA is also a great place to give back and enjoy a fun evening. Purchase tickets for the whole family to one of the many shows or concerts available!

If you are interested in booking rentals with The Rental Company, you can decide which partner you’d like to support. Then, you are able to donate 10% or more of your total and receive a discount (up to $200) off your order at The Rental Company. We are passionate about serving the community and have created a program, at no cost to you, to do so!
